Mothers Day remembered

Mothering Sunday seems so hard when your own mother has gone, everywhere is a reminder of what you have lost. I miss my mum so much and the five years since she died seem like only yesterday. I've took some flowers up to the church and have some fresh dafodills in the squirel vase in the house for her, but how I wish she was here to give a hug to and let her know how much I love her.
Someone on another forum I visit posted this poem for mothers day and it's so beautiful, I wanted to share it on my blog.

Your Mother Is Always With You

Your mother is always with you...
She's the whisper of the leaves
as you walk down the street.

She's the smell of bleach in
your freshly laundered socks.

She's the cool hand on your
brow when you're not well.

Your mother lives inside
your laughter. She's crystallized
in every tear drop...

She's the place you came from,
your first home.. She's the map you
follow with every step that you take.

She's your first love and your first heart
break....and nothing on earth can separate you.

Not time, Not space...
Not even death....
will ever separate you
from your mother....

You carry her inside of you....

  1. ((((hugs)))) I feel the same about Fathers Day, I lost my dad 15yrs ago this May, the pain does ease though and is replaced with Joy of the wonderful memories and good times shared, the smiles are worth the temporary heartache xxx
