Snow and Ice as winter bites

No sign yet of the snow going. It has been snowing most days now since Yule. It started a very slow thaw at the beginning of this week but then more snow came and today the roads and paths have just been covered in black ice and become skating rings, I haven't been able to go out, so scared of slipping and ending up in hospital. The whole of the UK is suffering this winter weather, it's just been so long we've had a proper winter it's took everyone by surprise. Lovely to look at, terrible to go out in.
